Walka boards are inextricably linked with Tjukurpa, the law and way of life of the Anangu (Central and Western Desert Aboriginal people). Tjunkaya Tapaya uses dotting and wire etching techniques to depict Tjukurpa and the landscape of her native home. This beautiful work is set within a presentation frame.

Tjunkaya Tapaya is an artist working near Uluru in Central Australia. Her works are represented by Maruku Arts which visits eighteen communities spread over a vast desert area including Amata, Indulkana, Fregon, Ernabella, Mimili, Docker River, Warkuna and many others. Maruku Arts represents over 800 craftspeople, making their center the largest of its kind in Australia
