Miriam has created a beautiful fired glass representation of a traditional "Piti" bowl used by Aboriginal women to collect bush tucker and as a utilitarian device for conveying objects from one place to another.

Both Miriam and Tossie Baadjo (Warlayirti Arts Center) were recognized for their nominations to the 2008 Telstra (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art) Awards competition
